SUMMARY:Bayshore Arts Center - Love Letters Show - Marinette
DESCRIPTION: Celebrate the season of Love with us! “Love Letters” takes the stage February 14-16 2025 \nFebruary 14 – 7PMFebruary 15 – 7PMFebruary 16 – 2PM\nABOUT THE SHOW: “Love Letters: is a tribute to the unmodern. The two-character play by A.R. Gurney from 1989\, explores a years-long relationship between an affluent man and woman through the voluminous amount of hand-written letters they send to each other by regular mail. Both from affluent\, East Coast families\, the friends communicate with each other through angst-ridden boarding school experiences\, European adventures\, failed marriages and the ups and downs of career. Over the course of their lives\, their relationship goes through many changes. Despite some painful differences\, they remain each other’s most trusted confidante\, and are “true lovers” on paper\, if not on the earth. Love Letters is a tender\, tragi-comic and nuanced examination of the shared nostalgia\, missed opportunities and deep closeness of two lifelong\, complicated friends. While spanning five decades and numerous locations\, it is a simple production that lets the actors’ words describe a world of emotion.\nDirected by Brandon Byng.

SUMMARY:Bayshore Arts Center - Fantastic Mr. Fox - Marinette
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Bayshore Arts Center’s Children’s Theatre\nDirected by Chase Grabowski\n“Boggis and Bunce and Bean/One fat\, one short\, one lean\, these horrible crooks\, so different in looks\, were nonetheless equally mean.” And so begins another enchanting Roald Dahl tale concerning the extraordinary adventures of three nasty farmers\, two curious creatures\, a family of foxes\, and our hero—a most fantastic fellow! Your audience will be fascinated as they watch Boggis\, the (enormously fat!) chicken farmer; Bunce\, the (pot-bellied dwarf) duck-and-goose farmer; and Bean the (thin) turkey-and-apple farmer\, attempt to foil the efforts of Mr. Fox and his friends—the Badgers\, the Moles\, the Rabbits and the Weasels. And then\, of course\, they’ll be held in suspense as the animals unwittingly trap themselves in Bean’s Secret Cider Cellar—much to the displeasure of Rat (a rude creature) and all appear doomed. In the end\, they’ll cheer as Mr. Fox provides a glorious feast for each and every one—and gives rise to Mrs. Fox’s proclamation that “My husband is one fantastic fox!” Certainly this show is lively and suspenseful and we’re sure you will also find it a whole lot of fun!\nThis is a one act production with concessions/drinks provided by Embers 1871
