Since 2010\, the UP State Fair has been operating independently of State funding and our emergence as Michigan’s only State Fair. \nThe fair is now governed by the Upper Peninsula State Fair Authority with representatives from all fifteen counties in the Upper Peninsula and the Hannahville Indian Community. \nSince 1928\, the Upper Peninsula State Fair has provided a place for folks from across the nation to experience and celebrate the unique culture and heritage of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The “Fair” remains as unique and wonderful as the people and places found across this marvelous peninsula. \nNowhere is the slogan “Pure Michigan” more suitable than in Escanaba during the annual Upper Peninsula State Fair. A helmet and road bike are required.\n30-Mile B Group – M35+ RouteThe B Group is for intermediate riders looking for a solid\, steady ride. Expect a 15-19 mph average over 30 miles. This group focuses on smooth pacing and efficient drafting. Arrive at 6:00 PM to meet the group and check your setup. A helmet and road bike are required.\n40+ Mile A Group – Advanced RideThe A Group is for experienced riders who thrive on high-speed\, long-distance efforts. Expect a 20+ mph pace over 40+ miles.
