DESCRIPTION:Join us on December 4th at Gallery Coffee Co for the 5th Annual UP Voice Singing Competition! This exciting event will once again showcase 20 of the Upper Peninsula’s most talented vocalists as they compete live in front of a panel of judges and a crowd of over 200 people — plus our online livestream audience. New this year\, the UP Voice will be a ticketed event to benefit the Roam Community Foundation. Standing room tickets are $5 and limited seated tickets are $10. Contestants (when announced) will not need to purchase a ticket. Kids under 12 are free for standing room only. \nDoors open at 5pm\nShow starts at 6pm \nTickets are available on Eventbrite\, and a limited quantity are available in person at Gallery Coffee.  \nDo you have what it takes to be crowned the U.P.’s next big voice? \n🎤How to enter:\nSubmit a 2:30-minute video via Gallery Coffee Company’s Facebook Messenger starting October 22nd through November 24th. Be sure to state and spell your full name at the beginning of the video. Submissions are limited to solo or duet performances—no bands or karaoke setups. Only 20 finalists will be selected to perform live on December 4th! \nImportant Dates:\nVideo submissions: October 22 – November 24\nFinalists notified by: November 25\nLive event: December 4\, doors open at 5:00 PM\, performances start at 6 PM. \nLive Performance Rules:\nSolo or duets only\, performing acapella\, with a guitar or harmonica\, or using an mp3 track (no bands or karaoke setups).\nLive performances must be no longer than 3 minutes.\nNo stage props allowed\, and contestants will have 2 minutes to set up.\nContestants will be judged on a 10-point system\, with the winner crowned based on total points. \nIn celebration of our 5th year\, 5 winners will be awarded!\n 1st Place: $500 cash\n 2nd Place: $300 cash\n 3rd Place: $200 cash\nNEW Golden Buzzer Winner: $500 cash\nNEW Fan Favorite Winner: $200 cash \nContestants must sign a release form\, and any contestants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian accompany them.
