Club members will have a chance to discuss the meeting’s pre-selected book and view related photographs\, maps\, and other treasures from the Marquette Regional History Center’s archival collections.\nThe club’s next two meetings will read:\nAugust 20\, “Laughing Whitefish” by Robert Traver\, is based on the true story of a Marquette area Ojibwa woman’s legal battle against one of Marquette’s booming iron mining companies.\nOctober 15\, “The Alcatraz Camp” by Jane Kopecky OR “Wolf’s Mouth” by John Smolen\, to prepare for a discussion on the Prisoner of War and Conscientious Objector camps in the Upper Peninsula during WWII.\nMeetings are free and will be held upstairs at the Marquette Regional History Center\, 145 W.
