This is a great time to check out a new ride or try out an E MTB if you haven’t yet!   \nCall the shop – Reserve a bike – Show up and ride!   \nAvailable Bikes –\nE MTB Bikes –\nTransition Regulator CX –  Small\, Med\, Large \nMTBS\nYeti SB120 – Small\, Med\, Large\, XL\nYeti SB140 LR – Small\, Med\, Large\, XL\nYeti SB160 – Med\, Lrg\nTransition Smuggler Alloy – Small\, Med\, Large\, XL  \nDemo periods are for one hour. Please bring your helmet!  We will have flat pedals available – and a few SPD and Crank Brothers\, but not a bad idea to bring your own pedals.  \n There will be the classic Tuesday Night Shop Ride as well –  Ride leaves at 6:30pm from the trail head.   \nYou can reserve a bike for the group ride\, please note that when making the reservation.

SUMMARY:Moose on the Move
DESCRIPTION:Moose on the MoveTuesday\, August 12th\, 6:30 pm.\nDonations Welcome. \nAlthough moose were native to the U.P.\, by the turn of the 20th century they had been eliminated by logging\, hunting\, and disease. In the 1980s the Department of Natural Resources developed a bold plan to bring moose from Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario to a suitable habitat in northwestern Marquette County. The moose were tranquilized by sharpshooters\, lifted by helicopter off of frozen lakes\, and trucked to the U.P.\, where hundreds of people\, including Michigan’s governor\, watched them be released.  \nAnn Hilton Fisher\, first prepared this presentation\, which includes photos and videos of the operation\, for the U.P Regional History Conference held in Sault Ste Marie in June 2024.
