New this year\, the UP Voice will be a ticketed event to benefit the Roam Community Foundation. Standing room tickets are $5 and limited seated tickets are $10. Contestants (when announced) will not need to purchase a ticket. Kids under 12 are free for standing room only. \nDoors open at 5pm\nShow starts at 6pm \nTickets are available on Eventbrite\, and a limited quantity are available in person at Gallery Coffee.  \nDo you have what it takes to be crowned the U.P.’s next big voice? \n🎤How to enter:\nSubmit a 2:30-minute video via Gallery Coffee Company’s Facebook Messenger starting October 22nd through November 24th. Be sure to state and spell your full name at the beginning of the video. Submissions are limited to solo or duet performances—no bands or karaoke setups. The show will be curated in the style of an eclectic “gallery wall” making pieces fun\, giftable\, and easy to display. You may submit multiple pieces (up to 3)\, and all artwork must arrive ready to hang with secure hardware attached. \nHow does pricing work\, and why is the price capped at $25?\nTo keep this event accessible and community-centered\, all artwork will be priced at $25 or less. This makes the show affordable for a wider range of buyers\, encourages gifting during the holiday season\, and ensures every artist’s work has a fair chance of being purchased. Artists can choose to set their price within that range or donate the sale entirely. \nWhere does the money go if I choose to donate my art sale?\nArtists have the option to donate their sale to support the ongoing work of Woven Path Community Studio. These funds help cover essential costs for future shows including mounting and hanging materials\, tools\, patching and painting between exhibitions\, and refreshments for First Friday events. Donations help us continue offering monthly community shows that are free to participate in and accessible to all. \nDo I need to be present\, and what happens after the show?\nArtists selling their work are asked to attend the First Friday Art Walk event on 12/5 from 5:30–8:00 PM to be present for any sales of their art.
