DESCRIPTION:The Pine Performance Center presents\nTrue North Quartet\nChamber Music Concert\n“Nordic Dreams”\nSaturday\, August 10th\n7:00 PM\n~FREE~ Generously sponsored by The Friends of Curtis (formally The Curtis Buckeyes) \nThe beloved “True North Quartet” performs quartets by Swedish composers Lars-Erik Larsson and Franz Berwald and then selections from the Danish String Quartet’s transcriptions of folk tunes from Sweden\, Denmark and Norway. \nThe quartet is comprised of founder and violinist Paul Lundin\, violinist Joseph Deller\, violist Janine Bradbury and cellist Katri Ervamaa. All are active free-lance orchestral musicians in southeast Michigan. Ervamaa teaches at the Residential College at the University of Michigan.
