DESCRIPTION:Norway…….Free food will be distributed to those experiencing food insecurity on Thursday\, August 7.\nPARKING AND REGISTRATION\nTraffic will be directed to park in the Evangelical Covenant Church parking lot where volunteers\nwill register participants. PLEASE follow the volunteers directions. The food distribution is\nscheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. Central Time. (Please note that the time on the Feeding America\nwebsite is Eastern time.) HOWEVER\, please be informed that due to the need to manage traffic flow\nand prevent any backup of vehicles to the highway in the event people arrive ahead of the time of the\ndistribution\, it could be possible that the distribution may start earlier if everything is ready earlier\nthan anticipated. \nDISTRIBUTION\nPlease note THIS IS A DRIVE-THROUGH DISTRIBUTION so we ask that you please remain\nin your vehicles as the food is being loaded to insure the health and safety of everyone. \nAs always\, we are in need of volunteers and we ask that you arrive approximately between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.\, and we ask that volunteers dress appropriately for the weather. Also\, if anyone has brown paper grocery bags you would like to donate\, we could always use them. \nThe Feeding America West Michigan Food distributions are sponsored in part by a grant through the Dickinson Area Community Foundation Hunger Fund as well as by Bethany Lutheran Church\, Community Bible Chapel\, Evangelical Covenant Church\, Faithorn Methodist Church\,\nGrace Methodist Church of Norway\, and St. Mary and St. Barbara Catholic Churches. \nFeeding America is bringing the mobile food pantry to our area from the West Michigan Food Bank near Grand Rapids\, Michigan. It operates a network of food banks and is the nation’s leading\ndomestic hunger-relief charity. Anyone who needs food assistance is welcome to come and receive\nproduce and groceries that have been made available by donations and partnerships from people and corporations that share the goal of solving the problem of hunger in America. \nThis institution is an equal opportunity provider.
