SUMMARY:Turning Life’s Perils into Writing Superpowers\, with Amanda Wais
DESCRIPTION:Amanda Wais self-published her first book about Copper Harbor in 2012. Two years later (and pregnant)\, she published the next one while working as a freelance travel writer in Michigan. Then she gave birth to her son. In her eyes he was perfect\, but genetically\, he was… abnormal. Suddenly writing about travel and adventure seemed meaningless\, so she took a deep journey into her heart. While on this soul-shaking path\, the pages and posts she wrote began to drip with truth. Rawness. Vulnerability. And she realized… her deepest challenges can lead to powerful stories. Today she has written and published six books\, and her mission is to create connection and understanding between all human beings.\nJoin us Wednesday\, December 3rd at the Calumet Public Library to hear more of Wais’ story and learn how you can create meaningful ripples from your own life’s struggles. A book signing will follow the presentation and books will be available for purchase as a fundraiser to benefit the library. \nFor more information\, visit the library or call 337-0311 ext. 1107\n(In case of bad weather\, when school is cancelled\, all library programs are cancelled.)
