Come learn with the originator of the double-strap Bodywork Support System.Christopher created this strap system in 2002\, and has had many years to perfect it. Learn how to use straps to support your body weight and use your feet\, knees\, elbows\, forearms\, and sitz bones to apply pressure. Therapists often create tension in their bodies while massaging. The strap system allows the practitioner to relax during a session\, creating a space for the receiver to relax and release on a much deeper level. It also allows you to tailor your sessions to each unique body that you encounter\, large or small!\nMost practice will take place on the floor\, but a massage table with straps overhead will also be available for practice.  Whether you decide to use the straps or not\, the theory and therapeutic techniques are invaluable.\nPlease understand that this is not “just a straps class”. The essence of the course is high-quality bodywork\, with a focus on the use of long-held compressions. You will learn and practice a considerable amount of massage theory\, technique\, and art while using the straps. DESCRIPTION:The Monster Mile is back as part of the Trick or Trot events! This year\, we will get things started right before the Downtown Trick or Treating event that takes place at 4pm. The Kids Monster Mile will begin on the bike path (In front of the Thill’s Fish House Parking Lot near that coincides with the Old Ore Dock)\, and will head north on the bike path\, turning around just after the entrance to lower harbor park. All participants in the Trick or Trot will receive a Free Gelato from Provisions & a custom Monster Mile medal!

DESCRIPTION:Looking for some spooky Halloween fun? Join us for the 10th annual Queen City Trick or Trot 5K/ 10K & Kids Monster Mile on Saturday\, October 25th. The Trick or Trot 10K also serves as the UP 10K Championship and participation adds 10 BONUS points to your point total for racers who have signed up for the 2025 Run The UP Challenge Race Series. All Participants in the 5K & 10K will receive a Medal\, a giveaway from Donckers\, and a giveaway from Provisions MQT. The Monster Mile participants will receive a giveaway from Provisions MQT & a Monster Mile medal! Proceeds from this race will benefit JJPacks and the Negaunee High School Athletics Booster Club.\nNEW THIS YEAR! The course will begin on the 100 block of Washington Street\, right in front of Yoop-Phoria\, Digs and Richardson Jewelers! Participants will race down Washington Street\, crossing Front Street and running Past Iron Bay Restaurant & Drinkery\, taking a left onto lakeshore boulevard and gradually making their way onto the bike path prior to hitting Main Street. Once they approach the bike path they will head South on the Bike Path towards Harvey.  The 5K turnaround will be indicated with signage and will be located before the Carp River Bridge. The 10K turnaround will be located on the bike path before the Michigan Welcome Center and will be indicated by an Aid Station. Both races will finish on the bike path between Spring Street and Baraga Avenue.  \nThe Kids Monster Mile will begin on the bike path (In front of the Thill’s Parking Lot that coincides with the Old Ore Dock)\, and will head north on the bike path\, turning around just after the entrance to lower harbor park.  \nThe post race party and awards ceremony will be held at Ore Dock Brewing Company from 4:30-6pm. The overall Male and Female Winners in the 5K and 10K will receive a FREE pair of shoes from QCRC\, there will also be age groups awards for both events! Halloween is everyone’s excuse to dress up! Be sure to get your most creative Halloween costume out for a chance to win a prize in our famous costume contest!
