Regional Labor Federation\, AFL-CIO\, we are pleased to invite you and your organization to participate in the 36th Annual Labor Day Festival!  The event will be held in Negaunee on Labor Day\, Monday\, September 1st\, 2025.\nParade line up starts at 10:00 a.m. at the Negaunee Senior Center parking lot off of Tobin Street and Clark Street. The Festival will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a parade beginning at Tobin Street and Iron Street then looping back along Rail Street to the park.  The theme of this year’s parade is “It’s Better in a Union”. We encourage Local Unions to march and enter floats in the parade that reflect the theme.  Please contact Tony Ghiringhelli (906) 236-3889 for details and to confirm your participation.   \nAfter the parade\, there will be a picnic and rally from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Jim Thomas Pavilion and Jackson Mine Park located at 199 Tobin Street in Negaunee.  We will be having a picnic lunch – your choice of a pasty or 2 hot dogs & chips\, desert and pop\, milk or water.  Adult beverages will be sold\, along with additional pop and water.  The rally will begin at 1:00 pm and includes music\, speeches from union officials and other family activities.

Also\, it’ll depend when the sun starts to set too. \nIn the parking lot is where we’ll decide which section of the single track we’ll be maintaining that night. \nWhat to bring:\nWe’ll have the tools (and some drinks!)\, we just need you! But you’ll probably want to bring bug spray\, a bug net (depending on the time of the month)\, and a good pair of gloves.  \nIf you have your own tools\, feel free to bring them\, but no stress. \nWe usually hang out in the parking lot for a little while after too. \n👉 So\, will we see you out there?
