Season of Advent, Sundays

Advent, meaning “to come” is about the church’s continual prayer that God will come to us, bringing life to a dying world. Christ comes not only in a past event, and also in our present life, and through that partnership with us, into the world’s unfolding future.
This year, we will embody the presence of Christ in that communion (in, with, through, under, and around us) while partnering with our community who offer care to our neighbors. Each week we will gather and celebrate the spaces that care for our Siblings and neighbors, amassing snacks and cards support the staff of these organizations (in the graphic). We’re looking forward to sharing care through granola bars, candy bars, fruit snacks, cookies, and whatever else your heart would need for physical nourishment while caring for our neighbors!

Karen Kasper has lovingly donated cards so that we can send notes to the staff of these amazing partner organizations, and we begin our journey with thanksgiving for this and all the gifts to come. Bring your favorite snack foods (preferably store-bought and in individual servings) each Sunday and prepare to learn about the vision and actions of each of these partners in care!
