Come to the Escanaba Public Library for a Reading and Book Signing by Michigan Notable Author Keith Taylor on Tuesday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m.
“What Can the Matter Be?” a 2025 Michigan Notable Selection, explores themes of aging, death, and place, offering reflections on both personal and global scales. Through poems and prose, Mr. Taylor showcases his keen observational skills and deep appreciation for nature, while balancing serious themes with moments of humor and joy. The work invites empathy and contemplation, urging readers to reflect on life’s fleeting nature and the interconnectedness of all things.
Mr. Taylor is an A. L. Becker Collegiate Lecturer in English (retired) and a former Director of the Bear River Writers’ Conference (retired). He will have books available for purchase on-site.
