This Privacy Policy explains what information UP Bar Review collects and how it is used when you use our iOS application (the “App”).

Information We Collect

1) Content You Choose to Submit

The App allows users to submit:

  • Ratings

  • Comments / reviews

If you submit content, it may be stored and displayed in the App.

2) Account / Login Information (No Passwords)

UP Bar Review does not collect or store user passwords.

If the App uses an account system now or in the future, it may use a passwordless sign-in method (for example, email link/verification code) or a third-party sign-in provider. In those cases, we may collect a basic identifier such as an email address or user ID only if required to operate the feature.

3) Basic Technical Data (Limited)

Like most apps and online services, the App (and the hosting provider that runs our backend) may process limited technical information to keep the service working and secure, such as:

  • Device/app version

  • General log data (for example, timestamps and IP address in server logs)

  • Error/crash information if a crash-reporting tool is enabled

We use this information only for security, troubleshooting, and maintaining the App.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Publish and display user-submitted ratings and comments

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the App

  • Detect and prevent spam, abuse, or security issues

  • Respond to support requests (if you contact us)

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only in limited cases:

  • Public posting: Your ratings/comments may be visible to other users in the App.

  • Service providers: We may use hosting/technical providers (for example, infrastructure used to run the App backend). They process data only to provide the service to us.

  • Legal/safety: If required by law or to protect users, the App, or our rights.

Ads and Sponsored Content (Future)

We may add sponsored listings or local bar advertisements in the future.

If we use third-party ad networks that use identifiers for tracking, we will:

  • Follow Apple’s requirements (including AppTrackingTransparency permission prompts when applicable)

  • Update this Privacy Policy before or at the time ads/tracking features are introduced

At this time, UP Bar Review does not collect location data for advertising.

Data Retention

We keep user-submitted content (ratings/comments) for as long as needed to operate the App, unless deletion is requested and applicable.

Server logs (if any) are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized.

Your Choices

  • Do not post: You can use the App without submitting ratings/comments (if the App allows browsing without posting).

  • Content removal requests: You can request removal of your posted content by contacting us at the email below.

Children’s Privacy

UP Bar Review is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and may provide additional notice in the App.
